Milwaukee Black Business is a web-based directory that profiles African American owned and operated businesses in the Milwaukee area. We exist to connect these businesses to searching consumers and neighboring business owners.

Sound simple?  It is.  But the impact is huge.

More than 7,000 black businesses exist in the Milwaukee area, a city whose population identifies as 40% African American–roughly a quarter of a million people.

That means for every square mile of Milwaukee, there are more than 70 black owned and operated businesses that provide goods and services: real estate agents and salon stylists, accountants and BBQ connoisseurs, skilled trades people, and art galleries.

But ask a friend about how to find and contact a given type of business, and chances are they may not know.

By connecting you to the entrepreneurs around you, Milwaukee Black Business helps small businesses grow bigger, and Milwaukee’s economy grow stronger.

By increasing awareness of Milwaukee’s black businesses, we increase our community’s cash flow, tax base and economic health—and just as importantly, we cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit and community that gives our city its unique flavor.

The demand is real…  We are simply here to showcase the supply—all of it—in one, easy-to-find place.

Let’s Grow Together!

Thank you to all the supporters of Milwaukee Black Business!  If you align with our Mission and Vision but are not an African American business owner or organization leader, you can still show your support.  Contact info@mkeblackbusiness.com to find out more on how to be featured in this space.
